I'm a PGA Associate with a passion and love for the game!
Welcome to my About Me section, if you're reading this i'm sure you know but my name is Ryan Schudlich. I grew up and still live in Grosse Pointe spending a lot of my time golfing, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. After spending some time at Oakland University studying business I decided to refocus my skills and enroll in a coding bootcamp called TechElevator. During my 14 weeks at TechElevator, I spent time studying the Java programming language and learned how to develop fullstack dynamic web based software systems. The program was rigorous and challenging but yet rewarding as we spent almost our entire day monday through friday fully focused on coding. The time we spent not coding was spent learning interview skills and enhancing our professional portfolios by doing mock interviews with both classmates and staff.
After TechElevator, I went on to work for Integra Partners where I worked on a software development project to automate internal excel processes. From there I decided to pivot my career once again into working in golf full time. I started as the Assistant General Manager at Sanctuary Lake Golf Course where I spent most of my time managing the daily operations. In May of 2024 I passed my PAT and was accepted into the PGA Professional Golf Management program and turned pro.
During my time at Sanctuary Lake Golf Club, I learned how to manage and operate a golf course which hosts over 50,000 rounds anually as an 18 hole municipal facility. Some of my duties while I was there included but are not limited to scheduling employees, oversee operations for all leagues and outings, managing tee sheet, and delivering top notch customer service.
